A joint venture created by UGI Energy Services and NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage, PENNSTAR will be capable of transporting 500 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, interconnecting with five interstate pipelines and storage that serve the majority of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. For local distribution companies and marketers in particular, gaining access to a steadily growing, lower-cost market area supply enhances the efficiency, competitiveness, and reliability of service to their customers.
   
   
2. Existing infrastructure of key storage, transportation and delivery assets. Our assets include gas gathering, intra and interstate pipelines, and underground gas storage. We also own and operate a liquefied natural gas liquefaction, storage and vaporization facility in south-central Pennsylvania, six LPG storage facilities throughout central Pennsylvania, propane/air peak shaving operations, and more. These midstream assets and services enable local distribution companies and buyers to provide efficient specialized base-load and load-following services to their retail and wholesale customers.
